Seal of the Boundary

Give a bound Iron Golem somewhere to actually stay.

In development Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge Standalone
A player stands at a Cippo del Vincolo while two Iron Golems remain inside a glowing blue territory ring at sunset.

Why it exists

An Iron Golem goes wherever vanilla AI takes it. This adds a boundary it will not wander past — without freezing it in place.

What it does

Craft the Seal of the Boundary and place it as a Cippo del Vincolo. Right-click to open its GUI and set a radius from 8 to 64 blocks (24 by default). Then approach any Iron Golem and right-click it empty-handed within 30 seconds of starting the binding — it is now tied to that territory.

Vanilla AI, with an edge

Inside the boundary the golem fights, wanders and follows its own AI untouched. The controller only steps in when a path or target would take it past the edge, then hands control back once it is inside with some margin.

Show Boundary

A particle ring along the territory’s edge, visible only to you, so you can see exactly where it falls before committing.

One marker, several golems

A single Cippo can hold multiple golems, each with loaded/unloaded status, and each can be unbound individually from the list.

How it fits

Standalone — no other mod required. A target still inside the boundary is never interrupted. If a golem ends up stuck outside too long, it is safely repositioned back in as a last resort. The Pergamena del Vincolo is found in pillager outpost chests and in a village cartographer’s chest. Works alongside Seal of the Custodian if you also want to locate and recall a bound golem.
